Description
The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing principally in equity securities and equity-related investments of Small-Capitalization Emerging Market Issuers, which may be denominated in any currency, including the local currency of the issuer. The subadviser currently defines a small-capitalization issuer as an issuer with a market capitalization of $2.0 billion or less at the time of initial investment and $3.0 billion or less at the time of a subsequent investment in the same issuer.
The investment seeks long term capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets (including amounts borrowed for investment purposes) in equity securities of companies that are either listed, domiciled, or conduct a meaningful amount of business in emerging markets. The fund's advisor defines companies conducting a meaningful amount of business in emerging markets as those companies that derive at least 50% of revenues or net profits from, or have at least 50% of assets or production capacities in, emerging market countries. It is non-diversified.
The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of assets in securities of issuers in emerging markets (countries that have an emerging stock market as defined by MSCI, countries or markets with low- to middle-income economies as classified by the World Bank, and other countries or markets with similar emerging characteristics) and other investments that are tied economically to emerging markets. It normally invests primarily in common stocks.
