The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in the securities of issuers with market capitalizations of less than $3 billion at the time of purchase that are tied economically to emerging market countries. The securities in which the fund invests include common stock, preferred stocks, depositary receipts, real estate investment trusts ("REITs"), convertible securities and participation notes.
The investment seeks capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of assets in securities of issuers in emerging markets (countries that have an emerging stock market as defined by MSCI, countries or markets with low- to middle-income economies as classified by the World Bank, and other countries or markets with similar emerging characteristics) and other investments that are tied economically to emerging markets. It normally invests primarily in common stocks.
The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests, under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its assets (net assets plus the amount of borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities issued by small and medium capitalization companies that are listed in, or whose principal business activities are located in, emerging markets, including frontier markets. It also may invest, under normal market conditions, up to 20% of its assets in securities of small developed markets companies that derive, or are expected to derive, a significant portion of their revenues from their operations in emerging or frontier markets.
