The fund invests in instruments that derive their value from the performance of the UBS Bloomberg Constant Maturity Commodity Total Return Index, and in bonds, debt securities and other fixed income instruments issued by various U.S. public-sector or private-sector entities. It invests in commodity-linked derivative instruments, including commodity index-linked notes, swap agreements, commodity futures contracts and options on futures contracts. The fund is non-diversified.
The investment seeks returns that are largely uncorrelated with the returns of the general stock and bond markets; the fund also seeks capital appreciation. Global Macro is an investment strategy that is defined by its freedom to trade both long and short positions in an array of asset classes and investment instruments located anywhere in the world. Under normal market conditions, the Advisor expects to primarily invest in securities and instruments that provide investment exposure to a variety of countries and regions throughout the world, including both developed and emerging markets. It is non-diversified.
