The investment seeks total return. The fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing in a diversified portfolio of commodity-linked derivatives. It will gain exposure to commodity markets by investing up to 25% of its total assets in the Commodities Strategy Fund CS Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the fund organized under the laws of the Cayman Islands (the Subsidiary). The fund will also invest in fixed income securities. It generally will only buy securities that have remaining maturities of 397 days or less. The fund is non-diversified.
The investment seeks long-term total return. The fund seeks to achieve its investment goal by utilizing an actively managed fundamental and quantitative investment process to provide exposure to the commodities markets by (i) investing in commodity-linked derivative instruments and (ii) investing in securities of the U.S. government, its agencies and instrumentalities and other fixed income securities. It may invest up to 25% of its total assets in the Subsidiary.
