The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in securities of Hong Kong, Taiwanese, and Chinese issuers and other investments that are tied economically to the China region. It normally invests primarily in common stocks. The fund allocates investments across different China region countries. It invests up to 35% of total assets in any industry that accounts for more than 20% of the Hong Kong, Taiwanese, and Chinese market. The fund uses fundamental analysis of factors such as each issuer's financial condition and industry position, as well as market economic conditions, to select investments.
The investment seeks investment results that generally correspond (before fees and expenses) to the price and yield of the NASDAQ Golden Dragon China Index. The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its total assets in equity securities of companies deriving a majority of their revenues from the People's Republic of China and that comprise the underlying index. The underlying index is composed of securities of U.S. exchange-listed companies that are headquartered or incorporated in the People's Republic of China. The fund is non-diversified.
