The Greater China region includes Hong Kong, The People's Republic of China, Taiwan and certain other countries. Its investments include securities of emerging market issuers. The fund may invest in companies that have market capitalizations of any size believed to be undervalued or have the potential for long-term growth. It is non-diversified.
The investment seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before the fund's fees and expenses, of an equity index called the AlphaShares China Technology Index. The fund will invest at least 80% of its total assets in common stock, ADRs, ADSs, GDRs and IDRs that comprise the index and depositary receipts or shares representing common stocks included in the index. The index is designed to measure and monitor the performance of the universe of publicly-traded companies which are based in mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau, are in the Information Technology Sector. It is non-diversified.
The investment seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the CSI Overseas China Internet Index (the "underlying index"). The fund will normally invest at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities of the underlying index, or in depositary receipts representing securities of the underlying index. The underlying index is designed to measure the performance of the investable universe of publicly traded China-based companies whose primary business or businesses are in the Internet and Internet-related sectors.
