Description
The investment seeks a high level of current income. The fund invests principally in income producing floating rate loans and floating rate debt securities. Under normal circumstances, it invests at least 80% of its assets in floating rate loans and floating rate debt securities. The fund may invest up to 25% of its assets in U.S. dollar denominated foreign investments, principally in developed markets. It may invest up to 20% of its assets in certain other types of debt instruments or securities including non-investment grade (high yield/high risk, sometimes called "junk bonds") debt instruments.
The investment seeks a high level of current income. Under normal conditions, the fund pursues its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in floating or adjustable rate senior loans. It may invest up to 25% of its total assets in senior loans made to foreign-domiciled borrowers and foreign securities, including emerging market securities. The fund may invest up to 20% of its net assets in other types of debt securities and short-term instruments. In addition, it may invest up to 10% of its net assets in derivatives.
